P J Murphy were appointed by development partners to carry out demolition, site clearance, earthworks and remediation of a brownfield site in the Midlands to deliver housing development land parcels and commercial development platforms.
Licensed disposal of industrial contamination including Asbestos, TPH, PAH and heavy metals and the encapsulation of Japanese Knotweed delivered cost-effective solutions to the rehabilitation challenges of the site.
Ancillary services included water treatment using mechanical and chemical measures to ensure compliant discharge, earthworks re-modelling to reduce mass hauls saving cost and time, and working in collaboration with Network Rail on adjacent assets.
Efficient, planned bulk earthworks and remediation ensured that the works were completed ahead of programme and, with value engineering savings, below budget.
